Erin Go Bragh!

All-Ireland Cultural Society's 70th Anniversary 68th St. Patrick's Day Celebration

I would like to thank my friend, Lisa McAuliffe, for offering me the opportunity to share a booth with her at the All-Ireland Cultural Society’s 68th St. Patrick’s Day Celebration! It is a fantastic event, held every year, most appropriately, on the 17th of March!  So many friendly, happy people, drinking, dancing and enjoying good food and each other’s company! Being Irish is the BEST!!  My mom and I had a great time talking to people and listening to live Celtic music.  Not to mention… the Irish dancers were outstanding!!

Even though I learned of the event only two weeks prior and I wasn’t stocked with many Celtic, or even, green pieces, we still managed to sell some jewelry.  Next year, though, I will be much better prepared.  Come join us!  Erin Go Bragh!!

About Karie

Hello. I'm Karie and I'm a beadaholic! No, really, it's not that bad... well, yes it is. I REALLY love beads! I have an entire room in my home dedicated to the little stinkers! I call it my 'studio'. It is where I store everything that has anything to do with beadwork. When my friends and I get together to bead, it is where we gather. It is the best place I like to be. I started taking some off-loom beadweaving classes, at a local bead store, in February 2004. It didn't take long for the bead bug to bite. I started going to every class I could and became fluent in all of the off-loom beadweaving stitches. My first project was a spiral bracelet, and since I had no idea what I was doing or how to gauge the diameter of my wrist in accordance with the length of the beaded bracelet PLUS the toggle clasp, it ended up way too big. So, my Mother became the proud owner of my first piece. I started selling my work at a couple of bazaars, here and there, during the holiday season. Then, later aquired a few "touristy" galleries and a salon where I consigned and sold many of my pieces. I enjoy selling at festivals and street fairs during the Summer. At this time, I do not sell directly through my site. However, I love to do custom orders. Please feel free to browse my many photos. If you see something you like, please contact me via e-mail. I accept Visa and Mastercard. Enjoy and God bless you, Karie
